We drove to Sedona from the Grand Canyon today. We will be at this rental house for 5 nights. This morning we got up, packed up the room (a major undertaking to squash 4 people and all our hiking, camping, biking and feeding gear into one Subaru Outback, even if it does have a roof box and a bike rack!) and took the shuttle past the Bright Angel Lodge in Grand Canyon Village to one of the viewpoints. Then we hiked back about 2 miles along the rim, slightly downhill, back to the Village for hot dogs for lunch. Or, in Lenny's case, strawberry ice cream only.
Then we all piled into the car (after a brief incident of me losing Lenny in the men's bathroom) and drove 2 hours to Sedona. Both kids slept at least part of the way, which made for happy kids and happy parents!
We just arrived in a beautiful 3 bedroom rental house about 5 minutes west of Sedona. It has a big back yard and a hot tub. It's nice to be back in a house after a week of camping and a motel. Tomorrow we hike up the big red rocks!

| This is how Lenny cruises around the rim path which is all paved for several miles. He goes so fast we have trouble keeping up. Fortunately his camelback backpack has a large grab handle on it. |
